Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies

The Oxygen First Aid Provider and Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies courses are designed to educate the public to recognise possible medical emergencies and aquatic-related injuries and to provide emergency oxygen first aid while activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and/or arranging for transfer to the nearest medical facility.

These courses are DAN-certified.

Specific Target Groups (general):

First Aiders and Company Emergency Response Officers (BHV) in organisations with or without specific risks (offshore, chemical, laboratoria, industry, construction), first responders at social events, first responders at sport events.

Specific Target Groups:

Swimming-pools, sailing clubs, lifeguards, Search and Rescue personnel, RNLI volunteers, divers organisations, scouting, fire brigade corps, survival training organisations and events.

Did you know:

Rescue-breathing is crucial during C.P.R.. The blood that is sent to the brain by the heart massage must contain oxygen to keep the brain in the best possible condition. This takes place thanks to the mouth-to-mouth breathing. Each mouth-to-mouth breath contains 16% oxygen. By providing oxygen  quickly via a cylinder, it is possible to give a minimum of 50% oxygen to the casualty. This increases the chance of survival.
